Equal Opportunities Policy
Equal Opportunities Policy
Tiny Town Nurseries are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for children, staff and visitors at the settings.
“We believe that every child is an individual who has the potential to develop and make progress”
(Inclusion Support Pack)
Tiny Town staff use the EYFS framework to observe and plan for individual children’s needs at all times. The environment reflects our commitment to inclusion through accessibility for wheelchair users, use of visual structure and a wide range of diverse resources depicting cultures, gender roles and differing abilities.
Children are encouraged to celebrate their individuality and to support and accept differences. Staff adapt activities to include all abilities.
Parents and visitors are encouraged to be involved during festival celebrations and activities suitable for the differing age ranges are planned.
Tiny Town Nurseries endeavour to celebrate the festivals relevant to the children in the nurseries and also introduce an additional range to extend children’s understanding.
Tiny Town Nurseries offer care for all children and cater for children with special needs. We work closely with the Area SENCO Team and have a named Special Needs Co-ordinator in each setting.
The nurseries follow the SEN Code of Practice and all staff receive training at induction and updates at six monthly staff meetings. Management review the provision and assess inclusion and diversity on a monthly basis.
Tiny Town Nurseries welcome staff, children and parents/carers who have English as an additional language and will ensure the individual receives appropriate support as required.
